Affiliate Marketing. What You Need To Do To Succeed

One of the popular niches on the Internet where a newbie marketer will look into when they want to start an online business is affiliate marketing.
This concept sound appealing as you get paid for promoting a company product for every sale that you made. Many people jump into affiliate marketing with little or on real knowledge of what this is all about and ended up disappointed and give up before they make their first dollar.

These are some of the reasons that will contribute to your success in affiliate marketing. Ensure that you consider these factors carefully when you intend to start this online business as it could be the difference between your achievement or doom in your endeavor.

1) Choose The Correct Niche.
Affiliate marketing is a crowded field. Everybody seems to be doing the same thing. Dont go into the niche where there are mass competition as the market will be saturated, where finding potential buyers will be an obstacle.
To ensure that you overcome this problem it is prudent that you do some research or opt for a proven and automated system to get you started in a shortest possible way.

2) Start A Blog.
Many marketers underestimate the power of using a blog. The blog that you are setting up must be related to what your niche are. Post articles on a regular basis, with a minimal of at least one a week. When people are attracted to your postings they will visit your blog regularly. You then build a relationship and when you make an offer they will be attracted by it.

3) Free Classified Sites.
This is another marketing tool overlooked by many. Sign up with those sites that are offering these free services and start posting ads about your product by driving targeted traffic to your website.Make you ads short and catchy.

4) Sales Page.
A sales page is the first impression that your targeted customers will have on you. Done professionally and you create a good impact. A sloppy layout will drive potential buyers away before they have a chance to peruse your content. Format it wisely and seek assistance if you are unable to do it yourself.

5) Write Articles.
Article marketing is another way to generate business. The major problem is that many of us do not know how to write good articles. One way is to outsource it. Always remember to back link your article to your website. Also do submit your article to authority article directories like Ezine Articles, Go Articles and many others as it can also helped you to get back links.

6) Patience.
Affiliate marketing works. But you may not see immediate gains quickly. It may take sometime before you make your first sale. Be patient. Continue to do what your are doing and eventually results will come.

Google Adsense Profits And Affiliate Marketing

If you are an affiliate marketer who has a niche content rich website, you can earn extra income by joining the Google AdSense program. Google will display relevant ads on your content pages and PAY YOU every time your site visitors simply ‘click’ one of the ads. They don’t have to buy anything or join any ‘memberships’. All your website visitors have to do is CLICK the ad and YOU get paid!

It is easy to get started. Google will set up an account for you and provide you with a code you need for displaying ads. Simply insert the code into the content pages on your website and you can start displaying ads immediately.

Google search and page-ranking technology will search for ads that are relevant to your content pages. This technology matches the primary language of your pages and the ads are targeted to your specific geographic location. This means that ads which serve users from United Kingdom, for example, will not be the same ads that appear on your website for users in Argentina. This geotargeting by Google makes the ads relevant to all the visitors to your website regardless of where they reside in the world.

In order for your website to be accepted, your site must comply with Google’s program policies and cannot contain any profanity, prejudicial language, information about hacking, illicit drugs, pornography, gambling or any other material that infringes on the rights of others.

The following types of websites are NOT accepted by Google Adsense:

1. About Me Websites

Google does not accept personal websites for its AdSense program. The reason for this is that most personal websites do not have a specific theme and are usually just a random collection of information about the websites owner. Google looks for content-based websites that contain a lot of information about a specific topic. The website has to have a central theme to which all the pages refer.

2. Disorganized Websites

The websites that are accepted by Google AdSense must be neat and easy for the user to navigate. All the links must work and each page should have a consistent layout. Typing and grammatical errors should be minimal or non-existent.

3. Not enough pages

Google prefers acceptable websites to have at least 20 pages. This allows for a significant number of targeted ads to be placed on the website to ensure that both Google and the publisher will make money.

4. Site is not solid

A website with nothing but links to other websites is not acceptable as a Google AdSense publishing website. You must have enough CONTENT to make your website valuable to the visitor.

5. Website is not optimized to receive traffic

If your website is not optimized to receive many visitors, then it will be hard to generate any kind of income through Google AdSense.

6. Website violates policies of Google AdSense

Before submitting an application, read the terms of use policies carefully to ensure that your website meets all of the requirements. The good news is once you’re approved you can display AdSense on all of your websites, so long as they comply with Google’s policies.

In conclusion, Google Adsense program can bring passive income to a content rich websites. If you have one, contact Google to get started.

Winning The Affiliate Marketing War Game

Online affiliate marketing has been going on strong for years now and it will continue to be that way for as long as there’s internet.

Winning the ongoing affiliate war however isn’t easy but it’s winnable. The affiliate marketing wars can only be won by the aggressive strategists who are willing to work hard and long.

Affiliate marketing is not for the faint of heart. If you had really known how tough the competition is in affiliate marketing would you have joined the fray? It doesn’t matter.

You are in the midst of it now and quitting simply is not an option for a true warrior. The only option is winning…and winning BIG!

To become one of those super affiliates you need to be prepared to work hard. You need to be prepared to do more than what is required. You need to be prepared to go that extra mile.

You want to become one of those big earners that make an annual income that has more than one comma in that number on the bottom line, right?

Then you must realize that first and foremost, reputation counts in affiliate marketing. There are thousands of affiliate marketers out there but the ones who make the big bucks are the ones who have established high visibility and great credibility for themselves.

Establishing credibility and visibility go hand in hand and establishing both are critical to your success and your victory over your competitors.

Credibility and visibility are established in several ways. Three of the most important ways of establishing credibility and visibility are by;

1) Writing And Marketing Articles; that relate to the products and services that you sell. You must establish yourself as an expert…a guru, if you will.

You need to become the guy or the gal that others go to when they need information or need questions answered. Writing articles and E-Books (or having them written for you by a ghost writer) is one of the very best ways of establishing your reputation as a person who has answers.

Articles help to spread your name and news of your knowledge around the Internet to those who are the most likely to be your customers.

2) Writing And Distributing E-Books; should only be 10 to 12 pages long but a link to your website needs to be included on every single page as well as in the resource box at the end. E-Books are uploaded to E-Book repositories where others may download them and reproduce them just like articles.

Because it is required that E-Books cannot be altered and that resource box information must be included when E-Books are downloaded and reproduced, your reputation as an expert in your field will be enhanced each time anyone chooses to use them.

3) Post To Blogs And Forums; that have topics related to the products and services which you sell. Simply type your related key word into the search box of your favorite search engine followed by the plus sign (+) and the words blogs or forums. You will get many hits.

Choose the three or four of the ones that have the largest number of active members and join those blogs or forums. Be careful here. Posting to blogs and forums effectively is going to take several hours of your time every week so don’t choose too many.

Do not go in with guns blazing posting blatant advertisements. The idea here is to build visibility and credibility. Introduce yourself and behave as though you had just moved into a new neighborhood.

Your signature tag that appears at the bottom of each and every post that you make should have your name as well as a link to your website.

Take you time to get to know the other posters in the community and become a valued member of the group. You will be building a good reputation, visibility and credibility.

It takes time to build your visibility and credibility. While you are building them, you will also be promoting and selling products and services and you want to establish a good relationship with those who buy products and services from you. Be sure that you provide good information, good service and a guarantee if one applies.

Never discount products or services or offer rebates. You don’t want to build that kind of reputation or that kind of customer base. Instead of offering discounts or rebates take the time and put forth the effort to add bonus incentives to the products and services that you promote to give them added value.

Those who go to the trouble and take the time to build excellent reputations as experts and as fair and honest merchants are the winners.

Affiliate Internet Marketing.

I have been doing some Affiliate Internet Marketing lately. This is an activity which i have read a lot about and even played around with but never became real serious about it. I purchased a book a few weeks back and everything just clicked in the affiliate marketing arena.

One thing that always has driven me crazy about Affiliate marketing is the fact that when you join an affiliate program and log on to the back office, there is training material. You will find banners, text ads, email ads, offline classified ads and many other promotional tools.

They will tell you to join the surf for traffic sites, submit some articles to directories and Ezines, post replies in forums leaving your link in the signature file. (Some forums dont even allow affiliate links) and answer some questions in Yahoo answers leaving links to your site here and there as references.

The one thing that 9 out of 10 of these affiliate back offices with all of there training offer you zero assistance in building your own mailing list. Yes I have found that 90% of affiliate programs out there just want you to send traffic to your special affiliate link and then the actual site owner collects the name and email. Can you see how you will be paying to promote your page and build a list for them making a few sales here and there.

I will not send any traffic that I have to work or pay for to any page unless my opt in form is on that page. If I am spending money or time, I want the subscriber for future contact and sales. There are a few good programs out there that steer you right and sometimes even provide a lead capture (splash, landing, magnetizer) page that you can edit and place your own autoresponder code enabling you to build your own list.

I set one of these little systems up a couple weeks back, and I am making sales on a regular basis. This is cool because the commission pays $45 and all I did was set it up once. It is now on auto pilot. My advice to you is to never promote any program until you can get a double opt in with name and email before redirecting traffic to your affiliate page.

Now that was a mouth full about Affiliate Internet Marketing.

To Your Success,

Ted

One of the best ways to get started with an online business is to try affiliate marketing. The primary reason being that everything is all put together for you and you can just sit down and get started right off the bat with learning how to market a business on the Internet. .

While some people may balk at the membership fees, they should actually be grateful that this is a small price to pay for all that they will be provided just by virtue of their membership. They will save untold hours and much more money in that again, everything is put together already.

There is no learning how to build a sales page because the affiliate program will provide one, encoded with the affiliate ID that is associated with the membership. When any sales are made from that page, they will be credited to the member. Additionally the affiliate program will handle the customer service for the member’s customers, and process the transactions. So here we see our affiliate is saving time and money again as they do not have to provide either support or a payment gateway which can be very costly.

Additionally the affiliate program may provide other resources for their members such as training in Internet marketing, banners and other graphics for advertising purposes, auto-responder messages, an actual auto-responder system, and list building mechanisms.

It is actually a very fair exchange that a member pays membership fees to compensate the program for the expenses they had in creating and maintaining not only the membership system but the product or service provided by the company as well. This again, greatly reduces the time for a learning curve and development for the member in that they can just walk in and use what is already there, rather than to need to create their own system and product.

Affiliate program membership makes it legal for members to profit from the company’s intellectual property. It is a very fair exchange that the company may benefit from the advertising and marketing the affiliates do to promote their own businesses to earn commissions. This is why they pay the commissions on top of all they do. The relationship is definitely a win/win all around for everyone.

The key however is for the affiliate to realize there is nothing magical about having an affiliate link. They have to really work to make anything happen. They have to learn how to, and then they have to actually promote the link diligently in order to make any money. Nobody will ever see their link unless the affiliate does substantial marketing and advertising over time. They need to be very aggressive about it rather than lackadaisical (“lacking enthusiasm and determination; carelessly lazy”).

So if you are really serious about wanting to have an Internet business, try at least one affiliate program to see what it is all about; then give it a fair chance of at least 90-days where you consistently focus on developing your business. Even if you fail the first time, try another one. The more experience you have the more likely it is that you will succeed.
